Add a little elegance to your next tea party or shower with these tiny diy sugar hearts. They're so delicate, pretty and incredibly easy to make. They also make great Valentine's gifts. It's the little things that make life a little sweeter.
Stuff You'll Need:
-1/2 cup sugar
-red food coloring
-1 1/2 teaspoons water
-mini heart fondant cutter
-small mixing bowl
-fork
-baking sheet lined with wax paper or a Silpat
Directions:
1. In a small mixing bowl, mix sugar, a drop of red food coloring and water with a fork.
The sugar mixture will have a sand & water consistency- as if you're building a sand castle.
2. Transfer mixture onto Silpat and press down with your hands.
3. Using your heart cutter, gently push into sugar mixture. Transfer hearts onto a dry surface by gently tapping the heart cutter. Allow hearts to set for 2 hours before using.
