1 teaspoon vanilla
2 oz. red food coloring

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease and flour two 8 inch cake pans.
3. Lightly stir eggs in a medium bowl. Add remaining liquid ingredients and whisk together until blended. Set aside.
4. Place all the dry ingredients in your mixing bowl and stir together.
5. Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix on medium-high for about a minute or until completely combined.
6. Pour into cake pans and then drop the pans on the counter a few times to release any air bubbles.
7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
8. After about ten minutes, remove from pans and cool completely on a wire rack.

Cream Cheese Frosting

1 teaspoon vanilla
6 cups confectioners’ sugar

1. Sift sugar and set aside.

Au revoir! Catch me on Instagram

I initially started this blog in 2010 to chronicle  my baking adventures. In 2013 I became a mother and this space shifted to sharing my DIYs and inspiration for creative living. Since then, I've been fortunate to work with multiple companies producing creative editorial content. As I look back at this blog, I'm reminded of how your passions can actually unfold into a career. And if you're really patient and willing to put in the all the work, dream jobs do come true. So it is here where I say au revoir to my beloved blog, aka my creative journal. You can still find me on @craftedbyjen .  xoxo, Jen
