How To Host A Crafternoon + Flower Arranging Party

A crafternoon is a great excuse to get together with a bunch of your crafty friends for an afternoon of making, eating and chatting (perhaps over some wine or cocktails). It can be anything that gets your creative juices flowing...from stamp carving (which my lovely friend, Melissa Cruzada hosted) to hosting a flower arranging party. Feeling crafty and wanna join the floral fun? Read on for tips on how host your own Crafternoon + Flower Arranging Party!

Send out your invitations. Go paperless! Try Paperless Post for beautiful online invitations.

Next, get your blooms! Hire a local florist to come & teach your friends about flower arranging. We were lucky to have Frances Park, Floral Designer extraordinaire & founder of Blush & Honey, to educate and inspire us!

Put together a simple, delicious menu of little bites like:
-Turkey Sliders
-Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
-Tomato Soup Shooters
-A variety of chips & dip
Don't forget something sweet like:
-Brown Butter Rice Crispy Treats
-Freshly Baked Donut Holes
Provide a refreshing sparkling beverage, such as Cucumber Punch
along with plenty of iced water and coffee.

Set out supplies! Include shears, floral tape & wire, along with a coaster & treat for your guests.

Have fun arranging your blooms- trying out a varitey of arrangements!!

Au revoir! Catch me on Instagram

I initially started this blog in 2010 to chronicle  my baking adventures. In 2013 I became a mother and this space shifted to sharing my DIYs and inspiration for creative living. Since then, I've been fortunate to work with multiple companies producing creative editorial content. As I look back at this blog, I'm reminded of how your passions can actually unfold into a career. And if you're really patient and willing to put in the all the work, dream jobs do come true. So it is here where I say au revoir to my beloved blog, aka my creative journal. You can still find me on @craftedbyjen .  xoxo, Jen
