Pots de Creme au Chocolat

I like to challenge myself when it comes to baking. So, when I discovered that pots de crème was a French dessert I immediately thought to myself, "Okay, this will be tricky." Well, it's actually the complete opposite and anyone can make these rich, creamy, chocolatey cups of heaven. (I guess I have to find another challenge.) Pots de Creme, pronounced “Pawts deh Creem”, means "pots of custard" in French and are traditionally served in little porcelain cups with lids. But, you can put the pot de creme in just about anything you want.
(I used my vintage glasses for a pretty presentation.)
You only need 5 ingredients to make this dessert. Yes, 5 that's not a typo and a blender. I told you anyone can make these! I just love the name, Pot de creme au Chocolat. I could just imagine myself enjoying this elegant dessert at a cute cafe somewhere in Paris.

Let's go to France!

Pots de Crème au Chocolat

Note: Since there are only 5 ingredients used in this recipe, make sure you use the best chocolate & vanilla and the freshest eggs. Quality people!

12 ounces of really good chocolate
4 whole eggs at room temperature
2 teaspoons of really good vanilla
1 pinch of salt
8 ounces, fluid Strong HOT Coffee

Place the chocolate chips, eggs, vanilla & a pinch of salt into a blender. Turn on the blender.

While it is blending, remove the circular disk from the blender lid and very slowly pour in 8 ounces of strong, VERY HOT coffee. Blend until mixture is smooth.

Pour the mixture into your serving glasses leaving room for whipped cream.

Place in the refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours so the mixture has a chance to set.

Garnish with whipped cream and enjoy!

Au Revoir!
